About Us

We believe a healthy body houses a healthy mind! We go the extra mile to ensure our customers of good service, reliability and quality. Management, labour force and producers combine their individual role to create a product that proudly represent our province and promote our long term goals.

Our goal is to deliver top quality dried fruits to all our customers. We strive to make healthy uncomplicated snacks part of everyday life .

Levubu Dried Fruit situated in the subtropical valley at the foot of the Soutpansberg in Limpopo Province. We process the fruits from our valley , mainly guava and banana.
Anti-processingis a natural and logical development and progression from primary farming.

Adding value to farm produce secures markets and helps to develop skills in rural areas, this secures jobs for local people. Development on this level secures financial stability.

Air drying in tunnels and sun drying is combined as methods of drying to satisfy all clients.

Factory Workers

The factory uses labour from the rural areas around us. Their skills development is important to us and they benefit hugely from this. Each individual is trained for his or her specific task.

Apart thereof, great emphasis is given to training in first aid and health safety regulations. Courses are annually attended by factory workers in order to comply with food safety regulations and to improve the general education of workers on the subject.

The Starters

Levubu Dried Fruit started from humble beginnings as a home industry in 1983. Emmie Cloete came up with a small guava roll and as a result of the popularity of the product the business developed into a busy dried fruit factory that supplies different dried fruits nationally.

The dedicated farmers wife of Len Cloete. In 1983 she tried out some ideas under a tree, but had no idea that it would be so popular that she would be able to make a living form it!! With her enthusiasm and positive drive she created a home industry that would be the start of a company producing a range of dried fruits.

Main Course

Emmie`s eldest daughter added youth and enthusiasm in 1998 to the growing home industry. The combination of experience and motivation proved successful and the factory developed more products and capacity.

In 2010 Marikie, 2nd daughter, added her creativeness and work experience to the business. She heads a dynamic team of 35 workers. Positive hard working people…..

Food safety team

Production is done according to food safety regulations and these people manage the policies that’s put in place.
High standards and consistent quality is assured by internal quality management. Several systems parallel to international standards are in place such as operating procedures, verification and tractability. Factory visits are done on a regular basis by government departments and clients. We are proud of every product leaving the factory.
